The Invaders

Long-running Milwaukee ska band The Invaders called it quits in the early ’00s, and its members went on to other musical projects. The death of former sax player Steven “Woody” Angelos briefly brought the group back together, but it wasn’t until 2006 that The Invaders began whipping up crowds of skanking Rasta-wannabes on a regular basis. In 2008, the group released its first album since 1996, the aptly named Where Ya Gone? Since then, the band has re-established itself as one of the better live acts on the local festival and club circuit, and continue to carry the torch for lonely third-wave ska fans citywide.
