Artist The Lost Boys
The passage of years does strange things to a film. Upon its release in 1987, director Joel Schumacher’s The Lost Boys was a modest summer hit. But it has endured in the consciousness for so long, they went and made two sequels more than 20 years later, 2006's The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe, and this year's The Thirst. Starring pre-washout Coreys Haim and Feldman and a pre-24 platinum-blonde Kiefer Sutherland, the original film focuses on two brothers (Haim and Jason Patric) who move to Southern California and are soon made unwelcome by a gang of teen vampires. The film is arguably one of Joel Schumacher’s only good projects as a director and also one of the only really good vampire films.
