The Murder City Devils

A garage-punk firestorm that burned out around the time it probably should have (in 2001, following the Thelema EP), The Murder City Devils have been performing sporadically since getting back together in 2006. Members have gone on to play with Pretty Girls Make Graves, Modest Mouse, Melvins, The Cave Singers, and others, but albums like 1997’s self-titled debut and 2000’s In Name And Blood remain their strongest contributions to the indie-rock vernacular. The Murder City Devils currently exist in a sort of limbo, neither active nor inactive, but even if this reunion is an easy way to make money, the Devils still bring it live.
