The Plastic Constellations
Not even stars shine forever, and so the end came for Minneapolis punkers The Plastic Constellations in 2008. The group literally grew up in the local music scene, starting in 1995 at ages 14, and played its final shows in at First Ave to tie up one important loose end—the release of We Appreciate You, the band's fourth and final disc. Like the previous Crusades, Appreciate offered up manic post-punk full of squealing, jagged guitars—a friendly, emo-tinged take on Fugazi.
