Artist The Snow Angels

Made up of members of Vee Dee, Johnny And The Limelites, Mannequin Men, and The Automatic Stinging Machines, The Snow Angels are in every sense a Chicago rock supergroup. Of course, with that comes one little mea culpa—they only play around the holidays, and they only play Christmas songs. The Angels formed seven years ago at a Christmas party where they assumed festive identities (Rey N. Deere, Santa Coz, Christ Maas, etc.) and released their first record, Seasonal Help, last year. The group’s biggest jam, “CTA Christmas Train,” celebrates the annual running of the tinseled-out El, though the group members freely admit that none of them has actually been on board the elusive transport.
