Artist The Soviettes

When The Soviettes called it quits in 2006, they left behind a legacy of sterling pop-punk infused with equal parts charming melodies and snotty punk yowls, undergirded by rapid-fire kick-snare drumming and snarling guitars. All the members have gone on to join or form new projects (guitarist Annie Holoien and drummer Danny Henry with Awesome Snakes, guitarist Sturgeon with The Gateway District, and bassist Susy Sharp with That’s Incredible), but the band reunited earlier this year to release Rarities, a collection of B-sides.
