It’s striking how many oddball indie-pop groups are prancing and twitching across the earth’s surface these days, but some can bring out real emotional shades amid the dizzy theatrics. The Spinto Band’s ninth album, 2008’s Moonwink, uses jittery guitars, electronics, and loopy vocal melodies to lean in and whisper secrets with enough weight and maturity that they don’t feel trivial.
