The Stepfathers

It might be presumed, with a name like The Stepfathers, that this improv supergroup will give the audience a thrashing—but one done out of love. The Stepfathers are mash-up of some of the UCB’s stronger regular players who have pushed through a heap of disbanded teams to land this plum Friday-evening slot. Their format sidesteps gimmickry in favor of straightforward, highly physical longform improv at incredibly high speed; once they’ve found some nut of an idea, they’ll pounce on it, crack it open, make peanut butter, and eat the resulting sandwich before the crowd has time to process.
