The Swayback
The Swayback has spent the last decade channeling the darkest moments in rock history: From the seedy side of The Velvet Underground to the rhythmic perfection of Joy Division, the band has remained Denver’s dark and dirty secret. Its latest, 2008’s Long Gone Lads, oscillated between Eric Halborg’s brooding vocals and tempered bass and the accessibility of Martijn Bolster’s dance-floor beats, proving the act’s pleasing versatility. 2009 saw the addition of former Vaux member Adam Tymn, and the quartet has since spent the last year traveling back and forth to Los Angeles to work on its forthcoming album with famed producer Andy Johns.
