The Temper Trap
Australia’s The Temper Trap found itself in good company on the (500) Days Of Summer soundtrack, rubbing elbows with The Smiths and The Black Lips. The band also found itself crammed next to Lifehouse and happy-go-emo band Boys Like Girls on a Now! compilation, though that says less about the band’s aspirations and more about the widespread success of single “Sweet Disposition,” from the band’s excellent debut album, Conditions. The Temper Trap has been compared to Arcade Fire and Animal Collective, though The Temper Trap’s epic, atmospheric sound on “Rabbit Hole”—from the brand-new self-titled follow-up—seems equally at home alongside U2 or Coldplay.
