The Ting Tings

The Ting Tings garnered lots of attention with their debut LP, We Started Nothing, showcasing their sound as a post-DFA spastic disco pop with more redlined levels and less invested in distinction. Unfortunately, the new Sounds From Nowheresville doesn’t move that sound forward very much and has a sluggish back half. Still, despite being a bit of a mishmash, Nowheresville nevertheless has several fun pop moments like the bouncy “Hit Me Down Sunny” and the propulsive lead single “Hang Me Up.”
