30 years ago, the members of The Vibrators were already older than the members of today’s typical punk act, but they managed to ride the tide of loud ’n’ fast groups with their 1977 debut, Pure Mania, and jabbing, poppy songs like “Stiff Little Fingers,” after which the famed Irish punk band named itself. Still armed with black leather jackets and blunt, irresistible hooks, the group now boasts a massive catalog, including several cover albums and 2009’s Under The Radar, its first album of original material since 2002’s Energize.
