The Wedding Present
The Wedding Present has weathered numerous lineup changes since forming in the mid-’80s, and leader David Gedge even retired the name for a while, but the English group has been going strong since emerging from hibernation in 2004. The jangly indie-pop outfit quickly got back to work, releasing Take Fountain in 2005 and the Steve Albini-assisted El Rey in 2008. Though Gedge has never shied away from the classics in concert, he and the band are devoting their current tour to promoting their eighth album, Valentina, as well as performing the 1991 album Seamonsters in its entirety.
