Third Eye Blind
In 2009, you’re either really in or you’re really out with Third Eye Blind—and if you’re in, chances are good that you’re still holding on tightly to your memories of the band’s late-’90s heyday. Twelve years after the entire country was doot-doot-dooting to “Semi-Charmed Life,” Stephan Jenkins and the band have been staying busy on the road. Still, 2009’s Ursa Major is only the band’s fourth full-length—its first new release since 2003’s Out Of The Vein—and sees Third Eye Blind still mining the same catchy alt-rock territory. The album was originally intended for release in 2007, but the band’s mostly unchanged sound means the delay had little impact on loyal fans.
