Tim Kasher

Although his fantastic, long-running indie band Cursive remains his primary concern, Tim Kasher frequently takes breaks to dabble in side projects like The Good Life, a screenplay, and now his solo debut, The Game Of Monogamy. On The Game, Kasher’s croon is set to upbeat pop-orchestral passages and Cursive’s rhythmic post-punk, often belied by reflective lyrics from a man buried by a mid-life crisis. (“When I was young I believed in love, but hey, I also believed in God.”) It’s another heady, excellent record that pushes Kasher's habitual oversharing to even more uncomfortably enjoyable ends.
