Tina Fey

Jack Donaghy’s morbid disgust with the podunk home base of NBC’s new owners on 30 Rockshows Tina Fey hasn’t forgotten where she came from. (“A company from Philadelphia buying a company from New York? That’s like Vietnam beating the U.S. in a land war!”) And if the sold-out auditorium and simulcast for Fey’s onstage interview at the Philadelphia Free Library is any indication, the feeling is mutual. Fey’s memoir, Bossypants, understandably skips over her childhood in Upper Darby, the place Philadelphians look to when they want to feel better about their city’s vibrant cultural landscape. But will she get away with eliding those halcyon days onstage? We bet not.
