Toadies
Following the release of 2010’s Feeler, Toadies are now two albums deep into their second life. To move forward, they came to terms with their past: Feeler was originally recorded in 1997, but was rejected by Interscope and never released. Toadies were unable to get access to the masters, so they just re-recorded it with producer Rob Schnapf. Lead single “City Of Hate” understandably sounds like vintage Toadies, but with an instrumental coda that wouldn’t sound out of place on a Jawbreaker record. The band’s next album, the interestingly punctuated Play.Rock.Music, should see a release in the summer of 2012.
