Artist Trophy Wives

Milwaukee’s Latest Flame Records has stepped up its game in recent years with a number of hard-hitting signees from across the country. One of these recent additions is Louisville, Kentucky’s Trophy Wives, a loud, burly, Southern-fried post-punk outfit that combines Greg Sage’s riffage with the meat-and-potatoes rhythms of bands like Lords and Young Widows. The Wives’ 2011 Latest Flame debut Old Scratch is an epic, 13-song slab of bourbon-soaked grunge, slathering generous portions of fuzz over thundering drums and bass lines thicker than the Old 96er steak from The Great Outdoors.
