TV On The Radio
TV On The Radio has turned into something of an art-rock monolith with a pulsing, expansive sound that encompasses prog, pop, and stratified ambience of several different kinds. The group’s 2004 debut, Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes, and 2006’s Return To Cookie Mountain were both fixtures on year-end top-10 lists, but Dear Science, from last year, upped the ante considerably with wild experimentation and more traditionally gorgeous song structures. And yes, it made it onto a lot of year-end lists. The band has spent much of 2009 touring and appearing on late-night talk shows.
