Variety Shac
A sometime presence on the TV talking-head rotisserie, Chelsea Peretti is a comedian whose humor hits tart and dry. For the beloved show Variety Shac, Peretti teams up as host with a trio of comics who share her funny sensibility: Andrea Rosen (of Comedy Central’s dearly departed Stella), the soft-spoken Heather Lawless, and rocker Shonali Bhowmik. The end product is a mash-up of music, comedy, and film that attracts some great guest stand-ups and shakes out more laughs than anything else.
