As far as comeback singles go, they don't come more self-explanatory than Voxtrot's "Berlin Without Return… " Combining equal parts quarter-life crisis and homesickness, frontman Ramesh Srivastava's declaration of, "I don't know you, baby, you don't know me," explained the band's lengthy absence from performing and its subsequent return—though, sadly, the latter wasn’t meant to last. Srivastava announced the band’s forthcoming dissolution via Internet missive in late April, and this Lincoln Hall date is the first show of its tellingly titled "Goodbye, Cruel World" Tour. It’s a premature farewell to one of the most unfortunate casualties of too-much-too-soon online buzz, but at least the band’s wounded indie-pop gets one last spin 'round the dancefloor.
