Artist We Are Your Father

The members of Milwaukee prog-metal band We Are Your Father met at, of all places, East Side music club The Jazz Estate, where they bonded over a shared love of The Erotic Adventures Of The Static Chicken. You won’t hear much jazz in the group’s music, though the brainy, vaguely funky riffs do seem to aspire to a sort of elastic heaviness that hepcats like Miles and ’Trane had back in the day. November 2010 sees WAYF celebrating the release of its new EP with a show at the venue where they first bonded.
