You may already be familiar with We The Kings via their hit “Check Yes Juliet” if you played the fuck out of LEGO Rock Band and/or didn’t mentally block them at Warped Tour in 2008. With their latest album, Sunshine State Of Mind, the band has gone from pop-punk to even softer pop-punk. (Imagine Train if they were pop-punk.) The single saving grace of that album is “Sleep With Me,” a song that seems like it’s supposed to be sweet but comes off as hilarious and whiny, making even the egregious excesses of hair metal lyrics seem not so bad in comparison.
