Artist Weather Duo

As the Weather Duo, upright-bassist Ben Willis and cellist Pat Reinholz attempt to put a cosmic tear in chamber music, letting the outside influences of jazz and electronic music come into play. Scattering visuals upon the walls—courtesy of video artist Anna Weisling—and gurgling electronic noise and sound effects from the floor up in a live setting, the duo ratchets up the tension with its tightly coiled playing style and improvisation-touched compositions.
