Artist What Made Milwaukee Famous

With all the lo-fi gimmickry, calculated disarray, and bedroom-born coyness dominating the scene, it’s easy to forget about a band like What Made Milwaukee Famous, whose earnest, multifaceted pop constructs lack rebellious grit but nevertheless contain plenty of swagger. Having sat much of 2010 out, the band appears here to offer a few fresh reminders that diverse songcraft and genuinely melodic singing aren’t solely the province of the olds.
