White Mice
Rhode Island’s White Mice play fairly typical noise, but it’s the trio’s fuzzy, bloody mouse aesthetic and circuit-bent performance art that really sets it apart. That involves lots of pissy screaming over crunchy electronics and brutal percussion, but the toilet humor in songs like “Hole (Sweet) Hole” and “Placenta The Crotchtower” make White Mice too funny to be scary. Many members have come and gone over the band’s nine-year history, but the current line-up—Mouseatongue, Spurt Scrobrain, and Phallusturd Scrowleak—stay true to the band’s rodent image.
