Wreckless Eric

Almost as famous for his drunken shenanigans as his music, Wreckless Eric is a cult figure in the world of English punk. Since the late ’70s, Eric has released a slew of albums—despite a short-lived retirement in the ’80s—that reflect his gleefully sardonic personality and showcase his acerbic lyrics. His song “Whole Wide World” was featured prominently in the 2006 Will Ferrell film Stranger Than Fiction, minimally renewing some interest in the singer.
