Artist Xzibit
Despite hanging with the likes of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, and Eminem—who gave him a plum freestyling cameo in 8 Mile—Xzibit is still probably known better for being a hip-hop entrepreneur than for hip-hop itself. His acting roles in other films like The X-Files: I Want To Believe and Bad Lieutenant: Port Of Call New Orleans and his day job hosting MTV’s Pimp My Ride have lately overshadowed albums like 2006’s Full Circle. Such distractions have not gone unnoticed: Xzibit buckled down and spent nearly four years sharpening the upcoming MMX, which should hopefully put him back among those West Coast kings where he belongs.
