Yellowcard

Although Yellowcard started six years prior as punk band putting out regrettably titled records likeMidget Tossing, the band didn’t violin its way into the country’s hearts until the catchy “Ocean Avenue,” popped up off its eponymous fourth album. While that earworm continued to bore through cerebral cortexes, the band struggled to replicate the feeling, even resorting to a two-year hiatus in hopes of getting the hit-single juices flowing again. When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes, the band’s seventh, came out in early 2011, and the first single “For You, And Your Denial” is as good a chuggy pop-rock anthem as the radio has to offer, with extra violins.
