Yukon Blonde

Though they’ve been touring since 2005, these B.C. indie rockers never really started gaining traction until they ditched their old name (the laughably bad Alphababy) and reinvented themselves as Yukon Blonde. Since its first EP as Yukon Blonde,Everything In Everyway, dropped in 2009, the band has been doggedly touring across North America, building a name for itself by gracing so many bills at SXSW, NXNE, Canadian Music Week, and other fests. Like that kid you end up hanging out with because she just keeps showing up, Yukon Blonde always seems to just be around, and its twangy, harmonious pop proves just as infectious. The band is currently touring behind its latest EP, Fire/Water, and a brand-new album, Tiger Talk.
