Zappa Plays Zappa
Like Sean Lennon and Jakob Dylan, Dweezil Zappa is a talented musician perhaps more cursed than blessed by his more gifted father's name. Unlike most rock-star kids, however, Dweezil seems to have accepted his role as his father’s son. Hence Zappa Plays Zappa, a tribute band Dweezil formed to bring his father’s rock-oriented material to a new generation. Given Frank’s reputation as a composer and his focus on the music instead of rock-star posing, Zappa Plays Zappa should do just fine without the original in tow.
