Artist Zero 7

England’s trip-hop-indebted Zero 7 has garnered lots of attention, in the past as in the present, as a less French version of Air. After releasing a few EPs and crafting a notable remix of Radiohead’s “Climbing Up The Walls,” the duo made its full-length debut with 2001’s Simple Things, an atmospheric collection that takes cues from downtempo breaks, smoky soul, acid jazz, and a whole lot of pop. The range of the sound hasn’t changed much since, but that's not a bad thing—certainly not on the ever-approachable 2009 album Yeah Ghost.
