Zeus

It still seems like Zeus (made up of Broken Social Scene-r Jason Collett’s backing band), is still fairly new to the Toronto music scene, so it’s a little surprising to notice that they’re touring in support of their third album, Busting Visions, released this past March. Zeus is obviously inspired by classic rock of the ’60s and ’70s, from Neil Young to CCR, which might explain why its audiences tend to be a little more bro-centric than your average indie band. However, it’s a brand of good ol’ rock ’n’ roll that  makes for a live experience refreshingly free of pretense. Also, we’re not ones to judge people based on their appearances, but these guys are pulling off some pretty serious facial hair.
