THE RUMOR: Kanye West has scheduled a secret show at ColdTowne Theater
Status: Confirmed. You can officially add Austin to the list of things Kanye West likes a whole lot, above the Louis Vuitton logo, just below the pop art of Takashi Murakami (and way, way below the man himself): Yesterday, Decider caught wind that West will follow up his secret/not-secret-at-all appearances at SXSW with another discreet Austin performance at ColdTowne Theater on April 22.

But why ColdTowne? Contacts at the theater were tight-lipped regarding 'Ye's plans, but co-owner and performer Michael Jastroch confirmed West's appearance, in addtion to letting slip that ColdTowne and The Frank Mills will be opening for something called Yeezy Duz It. Our guess: West is continuing the 180-degree turn he started with 808s & Heartbreak, combining it with his burgeoning friendship with comedian Aziz Ansari, and making a foray into improv comedy. Dude already proved his comedic chops in the videos for "Touch The Sky" and 88-Keys' "Stay Up! (Viagra)." The bill includes two of Austin's finest improv troupes, and that punny name could demarcate nothing but another improv troupe. Here's hoping it's a better combination of hip-hop and improv than Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out.
