    Electric Tickle Machine at Beerland

Combining Black Lips' appetite for garage-rock debauchery, Deerhoof’s flair for cross-dressing, and Scorpions’ lack of decorum with regard to album covers and potentially underage nipple slips, New York's Electric Tickle Machine pushes far more buttons than its name implies. The racy cover of the band’s recent Blew It Again is likely the cause for the record’s limited run on vinyl: Too bad, because more than 500 turntables deserve to feel the grooves of the band’s scruffy, occasionally Velvets-esque psychedelia. Then again, word from the East Village says that the true attraction here is the group’s live show, where organ-charged songs like “Part Of Me” inspire a sweaty surge of bodies eager to expose more than just nipples.
