Eyehategod, Kegcharge, Mammoth Grinder, and Curse The Heavens at Emo's Jr.
A heavy dose of swampy sludge infects the gear-grinding blues-metal of New Orleans’ Eyehategod. The corrosive, uncompromising band (now in its 21st year) was somewhat dormant in the wake of singer Mike Williams’ arrest for heroin possession—drummer Jimmy Bower sat behind the kit for Down while the other four band members passed the time with side project Outlaw Order—but has since re-formed with the now-clean Williams. Reportedly working on its first studio release since 2000's Confederacy Of Ruined Lives, the band plays here with the reunited local D-beat heroes of Kegcharge, nuclear winter mascots Mammoth Grinder, and Curse The Heavens' complicated, down-tuned chugging.
