While surf rock has remained virtually unchanged since its inception a half-century ago, The Red Elvises have found a way to breathe new life into the genre by simply adding a worldly twang to it. Makers of self-proclaimed “kick ass rock ’n’ roll from Siberia,” the group was started in 1995 in California by Russian-born singer Igor Yuzov. The group’s lineup has rotated heavily through the years, including members from all over the globe, giving a sunny, multicultural vibe to The Red Elvises' beach-blanket sound.
