Still Flyin' and Yellow Fever at Stubb's Jr.
If indie rock is willing to embrace an endless parade of white dudes singing the blues, it can certainly make room for a bunch of Caucasians from San Francisco who want to get their reggae on. Formed in late 2004, Still Flyin’ was originally pegged as a supergroup due to former Masters Of The Hemisphere member Sean Rawls heading up a collective featuring folks from The Aislers Set and Ladybug Transistor, but its subsequent output has transcended the sum of its parts. It’s also expanded its sound from rocksteady, dub, and reggae to what can be accurately described as party music, which always bodes well for a live performance. Yellow Fever plays party music as well—for intimate, pajama-clad gatherings.
