2 more Chicago improv vets going to work for Saturday Night Live
Paul Brittain
Comedy impresario Lorne Michaels has swooped in and grabbed two more Chicago improv veterans in his New Yorker talons: iO's Paul Brittain and Vanessa Bayer. They'll join the cast this fall as featured players, hot off the announcement that Will Forte's leaving the show.
Brittain is originally from Illinois, and is currently appearing in two shows at the iO Chicago Theater, Jim Paul Jet Paul and Challenger. Bayer is a native Clevelander and appears in Felt, one of iO's most unusual shows, in that the whole cast is made up of puppets. Both shows are running for at least the next couple of weeks with the actors, so this might be the time to snap up some tickets and catch these kids before they're on TV.
