Top Chef Texas will star six Chicago chefs in the show’s ninth season. Chilam Balam owner Chuy Valencia, MOTO’s Richie Farina and Chris Jones, Sable’s Heather Terhune, Aria’s Beverly Kim, and Spiaggia’s Sarah Grueneberg will compete. They will appear alongside celebrity guest stars like Charlize Theron, Pee-wee Herman, and Patti LaBelle, and new judges Emeril Lagasse and Hugh Acheson will weigh in on the dishes.

Out of the 29 contestants, the Chicago representatives in particular have potential to be behind most of the fun, or trouble, depending on how you look at it. Casting videos on the Bravo site already hint at a friendly competition between the two MOTO coworkers. But the real gem promises to be Valencia, whose interview falls nothing short of reality TV show asshole gold.

“Go and underestimate me. I love my haters,” the tiny, tattooed Valencia says. “I love them more than my friends because they give me the energy to plant seeds, sprout them, turn it into a plant, and then fuck the plant.”

Coming across as some combination of Omarosa, Diddy in Get Him To The Greek, and Justin Bieber (to whom Valencia compares himself), the prodigious 25-year-old chef will clearly steal the show. While, in other videos, the MOTO men play with their agar agar and a smiley Kim takes a walk on the lake, Valencia warns, “My dick is mind-fucking you, and you don’t even know.” He also makes sure to note that he’s, “gone through a week, seven days, being in 10 different women.” At least now the other chefs know whom to count on for multitasking in the kitchen.
