More Just Announced

Art Brut, the innovative English rock band that “franchises” its music with other bands, has announced a slew of shows in celebration of its May 12 release, Art Brut Vs. Satan. Starting on June 1, the group begins a nationwide tour starting in New York, and they'll be doing a five-night stint at Schubas June 8-12.
Self-processed fans of Frank Black/Black Francis, the group asked the legendary Pixies frontman to produce its new album, which he accepted by inviting them to his remote studio in Salem, Ore., for a 12-day blitz of a recording session. Art Brut has already released a video for “Alcoholics Unanimous,” the first single off the new album. It features typically booze-drenched lyrics just waiting to be sung aloud by a giddy, sweaty crowd like, “There’s so many people I might have upset / I apologized to them all with the same group text.”
