Local Newswire BBU releases new track called “Jumpers,” announces 2012 mix-tape

BBU released a new track, “Jumpers,” to build up momentum for the mix-tape it will release in February 2012. The underground, Chicago-based rap trio, whose acronymic name stands for “Bin Laden Blowin’ Up” or “Black, Brown, and Ugly,” has lyrics that tend to focus on the political and social problems of everyday life.

The group members wrote “Jumpers,” which will be on the upcoming bell hooks mix-tape, in response to being told they’d have to move to New York City in order to make it in the music industry. Being loyal to The City Of Big Shoulders and our fancy deep dish, the group, which has already experienced a great deal of success—opening for Mos Def, being mentioned in publications including The New York Times and The Washington Post, and performing at Lollapalooza—refused.

Have a listen to the track here, while wallowing over the superior all-beef frankfurter on a poppy seed bun with celery salt and everything except ketchup.
