More Just Announced
To make up for Jack Black’s rude remark in High Fidelity that Belle And Sebastian is “sad bastard music,” Chicagoans banned together in 2009 to celebrate the Glasgow pop band with hundreds of silkscreened posters quoting the band while highlighting local artists.
Now, Belle And Sebastian fever has caught on once again with Belle And Sebastian night Sept. 29 at Darkroom. Ban together with other twee fan boys and girls while enjoying an all B&S cover set by Canasta along with similarly themed DJ sets well into the night.
A lucky few guests will even snag some giveaways from Matador Records, and for those concerned about what to drink, it’s safe to assume that waitresses will be serving up catastrophe, so it’d be best to tip them well—unless you’re feeling sinister.
