Between his distinct beard, thick glasses, large stature, and slew of TV and film cameos, Brian Posehn has established instant visual recognition, even if it is through “hey, it’s that guy” comments. Posehn will be taking a break from racking up the guest appearances with a return stand-up performance at the Cubby Bear Sept. 10.
After gaining notoriety as a writer-performer on HBO’s classic Mr. Show, this self-professed nerd has appeared in everything from Seinfeld to The Sarah Silverman Program, not to mention lending his voice to cult cartoon series like Mission Hill and Metalocalypse. With the recent release of his second album, Fart And Wiener Jokes, on metal label Relapse Records, Posehn’s style continues to champion the awkward Junior High metalhead, but in a really awesome way. Tickets are on sale this Friday, June 17.
