Although Carbondale, Illinois’ The Copyrights aren’t a “Chicago band,” per se, the group’s ties to the city are growing ever stronger. On Aug. 9, Chicago’s “best label” Red Scare Industries will be releasing the pop-punkers’ latest, North Sentinel Island, and The Copyrights will be playing Aug. 5 and 6 at the Underground Lounge in celebration.
