A.V. Fest 2011 performers Disappears have rejiggered their lineup in recent history, adding Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley to the band in what seemed like an incredibly wise move. With this week’s release of the band’s new single, “Replicate,” we’re even more convinced these guys might be on to something good.
Check out the driving—no, seriously, it would be great for late-night highway trips—track below, preferably on super-loud speakers. The band’s third record, Pre-Language, is due out on Kranky March 1.
