Chicago artist creates zombie baseball cards

As if muscular baseball players couldn’t already kick the asses of weak nerdlings, local artist Jeremy Scheuch has now equipped those baseball players with the intense desire to eat people’s brains in his new zombie art collection.

Scheuch’s macabre baseball cards render the 1985 World Series roster of his hometown team—the Kansas City Royals—in typical undead fashion, complete with dripping blood and green-tinged skin. He also dabbled in portraits of a few other era-appropriate players, including Ryne Sandberg, Mike Schmidt, and Harold “Brains” Baines.

Scheuch plans to make limited edition stickers and hold a fancy gallery show with large painted versions of the cards. In the meantime, though, interested parties can go to Scheuch’s page now to preorder an army of undead baseball players.
