Chicago burns in new Rise Against video
Local punk band imagines an army of moped-riding bombers

The new video for "Re-education Through Labor," from Rise Against's forthcoming Appeal To Reason, imagines an army of moped-riding indie kids littering the city with backpack bombs. (It also features a couple blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameos from John McClurg and Matt Irie of local rock outfit Cougars.) This sort of rabble-rousing is nothing new for the Chicago melodic hardcore band; the video for "Give It All" (from 2004's Siren Song Of The Counter Culture) showed a similarly hip-looking army of kids causing mischief downtown. Although nothing in that video matched the haunting final image of "Re-education Through Labor." Check it out:
Rise Against plays the Congress Theater with Alkaline Trio, Thrice, and The Gaslight Anthem Nov. 20 and 21.
