Lace up those combat boots and zip on that biker jacket—it's time to talk about leather.

As part of its Out In Chicago exhibit on LGBT history, the Chicago History Museum will host "Chicago In Leather" Thursday, Jan. 19. A panel of experts will be on-hand to discuss the historical significance of leather motorcycle and backpatch clubs, bars, and women's groups in LGBT culture, and the panel will explore how gender, sexual orientation, and separatism have coexisted throughout the decades.

Cocktail hour will begin at 5:30 and the program will begin at 6:30. Entry is $10 for students and members of the Chicago History Museum and $12 for all others.

Out In Chicago will be open until March 26.
