Running April 19-25, the fest plans to host 65 acts—38 from Chicago—and five apprentice teams performing in 12 venues throughout the city. In addition to long-running Chicago shows like Improvised Shakespeare Company and Messing With a Friend (guest starring Tim Meadows), international acts like Stockholm’s Improvisation & Co. and Vancouver’s KISSprov are slated to perform. A full list of performers is are on the official site; tickets go on sale April 1.
The 2010 festival represents a transition in creative control, as The Reckoning cast member Jet Eveleth joins longtime CIF artistic director Mark Sutton in assembling the lineup. Eveleth will assume full duties next year.
